Project Management:
A project is made of the following:
- Project definitions and goals
- Schedule
- Budget and resources
- Plan of Action
- Execution
- Functionality Verification
- Realization of goals
We offer services from initial project definition to complete project management.
We have experience working with vendors, architects, subcontractors, systems integrators, the trades, and the all important end user in defining requirements, organizing the project, creating the WBS, and hiring and managing the crews to attain the defined goal of the project, on time and within budget.
Our experience includes new ATSC transmitter facilities, news systems, advanced cable television systems, data broadcasting facilities, HDTV conversions, and many other television projects. Project management is the skill and art of making it go right to get the project successfully completed.

Requirements Analysis:
Systems Engineering Solutions can assist with a needs analysis to define the functionality the project must deliver to be successful in meeting business requirements.
This is accomplished by following a detailed process of observations, interviews and meetings with all stakeholders and culminates with a written report which includes conceptual drawings.
Business needs, budget, time frame, manpower, logistics, existing infrastructure are all carefully defined in this process.
The end result is a clear and complete definition of the needs the project must fulfill if it is to be successful. This also includes a priority list so ‘nice to have’ but less important items or features are clearly labeled so they can be included in the project if funds and time allow.

RFP Preparation and Management:
In many cases, companies need assistance with the creation of an initial bid document or Request for Proposal (RFP). These documents are the foundation of a successful project. With decades of experience working with and for Systems Integrators and being the end user for many projects, we understand what needs to be included in the RFP to ensure the project will delivers the intended result.
The bid document is the reference for all stake holders and must accurately and fully define the desired end performance and functionality being purchased. This is particularly important for software applications and products.
Ambiguities and omitted items result in delays and expensive change orders. A successful project delivers the functionality intended, within budget and on time.
The Acceptance Test Procedure document should be part of the initial package! This document provides a process to objectively test intended functionality vs. as-built functionality.
The front end effort to fully define the project is often underestimated or left until after the project has started or sometimes never done at all. This invariably will increase the project cost beyond initial estimates and result in an underperforming final product.
Systems Engineering Solutions can assist in the creation your project package and serve as your advocate with the Systems Integrator through out the process. This includes ongoing quality control assessments to make sure performance milestones are met before payments are made.

Video Systems Design:
Our highly qualified staff at Systems Engineering Solutions has provided design services for end users which include DirecTV, CNN, iBlast and Verizon. We have expertise in Television station HD conversions, recording studios, private film viewing rooms, video assisted film systems, stage projection, corporate conference rooms and shipboard video systems. We can also provide conceptual drawings during the initial planning process to assist in defining the functionality required prior to releasing a request for proposal.

Testing and Acceptance:
Systems Engineering Solutions can create, review, execute or witness the Acceptance Test Plans. The Acceptance Test Procedure outline should be included as part of the original bid documents. It should be defined by the design engineer(s) on the project to reflect the details of the systems during the design process. Our highly qualified engineers can write or validate the ATP written by others to ensure it tests for the expected functionality being purchased. This is critical as payments and project closure is typically triggered by the completion of the ATP.

Documentation:
Systems Engineering Solutions offers complete AutoCAD Design Services. Detailed documentation facilitates troubleshooting and saves money by reducing downtime. With the constant change in technology and the impact of turnover in staff, the need for documentation is more important now than ever. A documented system enables your engineers or others to quickly identify system design and devices and provides for optimum utilization and functionality which can save on capital costs.

Equipment Disposal Services
Experts in the field of broadcasting have determined the costs associated with the dismantling and the disposal of NTSC Analog Transmitters by in-house staff engineers puts stress on existing operations and potentially exposes a station to litigation and fines for failure to comply with mandated disposal guidelines.
Why spend countless man hours and pay significant disposal and transportation fees when we can provide a turn-key solution. With decades of experience in broadcast engineering, our team of highly skilled professionals can provide a safe, efficient and fast way to dispose of your old transmitter and provide opportunities for additional revenue at your transmission facility.
We also offer “disposal only” services, certain conditions apply.
We can also coordinate any needed tower work via our association with Tower Consultants, Inc.
